Apple Estimated to Sell 3 Million Pairs of AirPods, AirPods Pro on Black Friday/Cyber Monday

Apple’s AirPods are already the highest selling true wireless buds. As per the latest estimates by an analyst, Apple is likely to sell about 3 million pairs of AirPods and AirPods Pro this holiday season. Furthermore, the report also cites that there is an inventory shortage of retailers.

Apple recently launched the $249 AirPods and the new earbuds will be sold alongside the usual AirPods. The AirPods Pro addressed some of the major shortcomings of AirPods by offering Noise Cancellation and a rubber ear tips with better ergonomics. Meanwhile, the AirPods 2 with Qi wireless charging chase was recently selling at a discounted price of $154 as opposed to $199. Needless to say, a lot of retailers are discounting AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Recently it was reported that Apple informed manufacturers to double the production of AirPods Pro. The Wedbush report corroborates the same and says the increase in capacity is aimed at solving/minimizing supply constraints. Despite all the efforts, there does exist a delay of more than two weeks for the new AirPods Pro.

Apple publishes a Holiday Gift Guide to help users choose the best gift for their near and dear ones. That apart, time and time again, the AirPods have proven to be a great gift option for the holiday season. In fact last year AirPods fueled a meme on social media during the holiday season.
